At the premiere of Jim Carrey's "Bruce Almighty"

Universal City, California, May 27th, 2003- Universal Premiered it's comedy "Bruce Almighty" starring Jim Carrey and Morgan Freeman.

On hand for the Premiere at Universal's City Walk, was the HI-POD, proving itself adept at getting celebrity shots over the heads of the gathered crowd.

Even from a normally terrible vantage point, outside of the crowd barricades behind the red carpet area, the HI-POD was able to get shots that other photographers in the press were unable to get. The HI-POD unit and operator blocked no one's view of the event. The operator was able to calmly sit back and get the shot, without the hassle of trying to elevate the camera overhead with his hands.

Again, we learned several valuable lessons at this event, as we have at other such events we've covered- the HI-POD is a better way to get shots in large crowds of people. Even from the front row, right at the edge of the red carpet, the HI-POD operator has full mobility, and a 15 foot in the air vantage point- and due to the HI-POD's small footprint, it's all done without the camera in any way blocking the view of anyone behind the HI-POD unit.

In fact, it's been our experience that members of the crowd often times end up gathering behind the HI-POD watching the unit's LCD screen which most times offers a far better view of the event, than trying to peer over the heads of other people in the crowd!
